Hot Ginger Ale Kick

Updated: May 20

This non alcoholic hot wintry drink will certainly warm your taste buds with its sensational ginger kick on your palette along with its warmth in the back of your throat through its finish. Guaranteed to warm up your soul on a cold wintry day or night. It's quick and easy to make and with only 3 ingredients.

The Recipe

Note: This recipe creates a 220ml mug or glass of Hot Ginger Ale which is an average sized serve.

(To create a larger quantity, just multiply the ingredients by the number of serves you require.)

Ingredients

Method In a heatproof jug mix Red Elk Dry Ginger Ale Mixing Syrup with the unsweetened apple juice and water. (Give it a stir with a spoon to combine.)

Heat in the microwave until warm at desired temperature (65C - 70C is ideal.)

DO NOT BOIL.

Serve in a mug or glass tumbler and enjoy the ginger kick!

Some ideas...

  • Pre-heat your mug or glass with some hot water before serving, so the Hot Dry Ginger Ale won't cool off as quickly.

  • Unsweetened apple juice is easily obtained from the supermarket. It's the 'tart' tasting apple juice you are after which will balance out the sweetness of the syrup with the ginger kick you desire in this recipe.

  • You can also make this recipe ahead of time and store in a jug in the fridge and use when it's ready to be heated.
