This recipe makes 5 x 250ml bottles and 1 cup of fruit, and take 2 - 4 weeks to make.
Ingredients
2 litre (8 cup) glass or ceramic jar
1 can (400g) pie apples
250ml Red Elk Gluhwein Mulled Wine Syrup
1 1/2 cups brandy
750ml dry white wine (eg. sauvignon blanc)
Small 250ml bottles x 5
Method
Mix all ingredients together in glass/ ceramic jar. Store jar somewhere cool and dark for 2-4 weeks, depending how strong you want your liqueur.
After 2-4 weeks, strain the liqueur into a large bowl or jug and set aside the strained fruit. The fruit can be used to accompany Christmas desserts.
Using a funnel and a smaller measuring jug, pour remaining liqueur into bottles. Decorate and gift.
